FAMES HAWAII 2013 FREE WORKSHOP

FAMES Hawaii (FAMES) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to Mentoring, Educating, Motivating and Leadership Development for entrepreneurs and business owners in Honolulu who have a business or want to start a business!  It was formed in 2004 and holds their monthly business meetings at D&B’s Ward Centre.

FAMES holds a FREE full-day workshop each year in August to educate business owners and entrepreneurs about business networking for success! Guest speakers share their expertise and motivation, and breakfast and lunch and admission is FREE!! Featured speakers this year were Brian Andaya (C.O.O. of L&L Hawaiian Barbecue) on Business Legal Issues, Jan Kaeo (Co-owner of Dale Carnegie Hawaii) on Time Management, Kristen Robinson (Owner of KR Designs) on Social Networking Tools, Mark Spain (SBA Hawaii Director) on SBA Resources, and keynote speaker Christine Camp (CEO Avalon Development) on “Don’t Give Up!” Here are each of those speakers’ presentations with a lead-off 5-minute recap of the event, all produced by GOvideoHAWAII.

Exploring Moire Patterns in Video

I’m testing out some math equations for generating “moire patterns” in video.  Here’s a short (looping) slideshow of my favorite 14 still-shots for your enjoyment!

Lantern Floating Photo Album Uploaded!

The Annual Lantern Floating Ceremony in Honolu, Hawaii was filmed by GOvideoHAWAII on May 31, 2010 at Magic Island (Ala Moana Beach Park).  A 30-minute documentary is currently in post-production for release in late 2012 with the video recordings from 2010, 2011 and 2012 .  A photo album of images from the film has been posted on GOvideoHAWAII’s FLICKR album and Facebook fan page.  Take a look at these amazing photos, and become a fan of GOvideoHAWAII on Facebook to be alerted to all the newest video releases!!

ANNUAL LANTERN FLOATING CEREMONY IN HONOLULU

The annual Lantern Floating Ceremony is held each year in Honolulu, Hawaii on Memorial Day. Over 40,000 people attended the outdoor ceremony in 2012 and participate in releasing over 2,500 candle-lit floating lanterns into the Hawaiian waters of O’ahu. It is sponsored and produced by the Shinnyo-en community (Honolulu) and is telecast around the world! The event was photographed by our subsidiary, Hawaiian Eye Man (see below), from 2005 through 2009, and filmed in high-definition by GOvideoHAWAIIfrom 2010 through 2012.To see the photo album for the 2010 Lantern Floating, CLICK HERE

HAWAIIAN EYE MAN PHOTOGRAPHY

Hawaiian Eye Manis a Honolulu-based photography studio specializing in the outstanding flora, landscapes and oceanscapes of Hawaii! Unique local festivities like the Annual Lantern Floating, Christmas in Hawaii, and numerous fireworks displays throughout the year are featured! Private shooting for headshots, family groups shots, birthdays, weddings and business events is also available!At the moment the Hawaiian Eye Man website is unavailable due to construction!  In September 2012 several Eye Man slideshows will be posted here. GOvideoHAWAII is also taking the Hawaiian Eye Man library of over 80,000 images and producing several HAWAII-themed video-slideshows accompanied by music and chanting of upcoming, new, local performers and hula halau. Currently in production is an Oceanscape video capturing the hypnotic colors of Hawaii’s exquisite and remote beaches, merged with a drifting, flowing, gentle background soundtrack (coming September 2012). Following this will be a vibrant, energetic explosion of color with Hawaii’s exotic flowers and flowering-trees, set to upbeat tribal chanting (also coming September 2012)!!

GOvideoHAWAII produced for FAMES in 2010 an on-demand streaming video library of the best guest speakers from 2010!  It adds value to FAMES members and is a continuous return-on-investment for their organization!!  It contains 6 hours of speaker presentations and averaged 500 views per month.  Eventually sliced into 15-minute segments and it was uploaded to FAMES Hawaii YouTube 2010 Guest Speakers Playlist where it still resides.

GOvideoHAWAII designed and maintained the FAMES website used from 2008 thru 2012 to enhance FAMES visitor experience by blending together monthly reviews, video-clips, meeting flyers, announcements, photo albums, the video speaker library AND social media (Facebook)!  It was done as a pro-bono contribution for the betterment of the Hawaii business community and at its peak it averaged 2,000 hits per month! The FAMES Hawaii Youtube Channel currently features the following three productions by GOvideoHAWAII.

Hawaii Real Estate Investors (HiREI) is an affiliation of investors ranging from beginners to advanced; part-time enthusiasts to full-time professionals. For new members who donate a bag of non-perishable food or make a minimum donation of $30 their membership fee will be WAIVED !! In addition to the food and monetary donations that each club collects, CURVES International is offering clubs the opportunity to win cash prizes for the Hawaii Foodbank.

GINA IS HERE TO HELP YOU!

Prizes will be awarded to the clubs with the most food collected, clubs who beat their 2010 donation level by the largest amount and to two randomly-selected clubs drawn from all the clubs who enter the contest.
